- 1 pc. (small head) of white onion

- 1.5 tablespoons of mayonnaise
- 200 g of hard cheese
- 1 pinch of salt

Cod liver is not just a tasty product, but, of course, it is also very useful. It is a source of fish oil, vitamins A, D and E, folate and iodine. So you need to indulge yourself more often with dishes that include this valuable product, for example, salads. Despite all the simplicity of preparation, a salad with cod liver according to the classic recipe can also act as a dish for a festive table.
Boil eggs for cod liver salad according to the classic recipe for about 10 minutes, finely chop or rub on a coarse grater. Peel the onion and chop finely enough. You can choose any hard cheese for the salad, which you like. The main thing is that it does not have a too pronounced aroma and does not interrupt the taste of cod liver. We rub the cheese on a coarse grater.
Carefully remove the cod liver from the jar with a fork, add a little oil from the same jar for juiciness (if you don’t like it, you don’t need to add oil). Knead with a fork. You should not be too zealous, we do not need a homogeneous puree, you just need to break up large pieces.
In a bowl, mix the cod liver, eggs, onion and grated cheese. Stir, season to taste with pepper and salt, add mayonnaise. We pack the purchased profiteroles with the filling in advance and the classic salad in the original serving is ready. Have a nice meal!
